HDD Drilling Operator - (2)

Your responsibilities
 Operate large HDD drilling rigs (45–150 tons) via joysticks and control systems
 Setting up, aligning and calibrating the drilling rig on site for correct drilling
 Performing pre-drill checks to ensure the functionality and readiness of the equipment
 Correct execution of the drilling plans
 Setting and monitoring drilling parameters (pressure, force, progress)
 Support in the construction, relocation and dismantling of the machines
 Working on site with the whole team: pulling pipes, laying cables, carrying out preparatory
work
 Working closely with the drilling team, engineers and other personnel at the yard
 Executing the drilling plan and making adjustments where necessary to avoid obstacles and
achieve the desired result
 Identifying and resolving operational problems or malfunctions during drilling
 Performing basic maintenance, inspection and minor repairs of the equipment
What do you bring?
 Proven experience with HDD drilling with large rigs (45–150 tonnes)
 Understanding HDD processes and experience with technical drawings, plans, and drilling
parameters
 Flexibility to travel and work longer days where necessary ( Can be up to 15h in 1 day as
circumstances require. )
 Willingness to travel (200 km around HQ APK Drilling, sometimes abroad)
 Good communication skills (English)
 Team player who can also work independently
What are we looking for?
 Proven experience of HDD drilling with large installations (45–150 tons is needed, more than
150 tons is also allowed)
 Certification in HDD is an added asset
 Employees with drilling experience in large boreholes, this means large length and diameter
bores.
 Employees with experience in drilling that take several days to a week before the drilling is
completed.
 We have experience with heavier site equipment and drilling accessories in general.
o Hold a CE truck driver's license or be willing to obtain it in Belgium.
 Must be able to move construction vehicles themselves. Containers, pump
trucks, other types of trucks and construction site machines

o We are looking for employees who are handy with machines: excavators, truck-
mounted crane, crane, etc.
